Post-Treatment Care Instructions

Post-extraction recovery requires strict adherence to these instructions for the first 24 hours:
  • Keep the sterile gauze pressed firmly over the extraction site for 45 minutes, then discard it.
  • Do not spit, rinse vigorously, or use a drinking straw, as this can dislodge the healing blood clot.
  • Eat cold, soft foods (ice cream, yogurt, cold soup) and avoid hot, spicy, or hard foods.
  • Take the prescribed painkillers and antibiotics strictly as directed by Dr. Quazi Wasim Bari.
To maximize the lifetime of your crowns and veneers, brush twice daily using a soft-bristled toothbrush, floss around the margins regularly, and avoid biting directly into extremely hard items like ice cubes, hard candies, or bone segments.
Temporary crowns are placed using weak cement so they can be easily removed later. If it falls off, keep the temporary crown clean, avoid chewing on that side, and contact our clinic immediately. We will schedule a quick 5-minute slot to cement it back.
